Bullfighting and bull racing are the most ancient cultures of the Azores and its introduction or origin is lost in the memory of times. Brought by the first settlers, cattle were initially raised in a regime of freedom and abandonment inside the bushes and farms, so they acquired wild characteristics. This route portrays the ancestral bullfighting culture that has been established and maintained over time. It aims to make known the work that the cattleman does every day in the field and, also, to make known one of the most present cultures on Terceira Island: Bullfighting.
