Overview

Explore the magnificent waters of the Atlantic in one of the most privileged locations in the Azores for this type of activity.

During this unique experience, you will have the opportunity to spot some of the most impressive species of whales and/or dolphins that inhabit these waters—it’s not possible to predict in a single outing whether you will see only whales, only dolphins, or both.

Your adventure begins at the Marina of Angra do Heroísmo. After a brief briefing on safety and appropriate behavior, you will set out to sea in search of the fascinating creatures that inhabit these waters. While sailing, you can enjoy the stunning coastal landscapes of the island.

The Azores are known for being one of the best places in the world for cetacean observation, with several species spotted throughout the year, including the majestic fin whale, the imposing sperm whale, and various species of dolphins. The guides will share information about the species observed and the marine ecosystem, providing an educational and enriching experience.
